Supporting Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist Charity

At our pop-up event at 340 King's Road, we offered a 15% discount to customers who donated brand-new underwear in support of Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist. This charitable campaign is dedicated to providing vulnerable women with much-needed underwear, and we proudly promoted their cause on our social media, spreading empowerment, confidence, and security—one pair at a time!

Why Underwear?
Thanks to the rise of charity shopping and clothing donations, many women in need now have better access to second-hand clothing. However, due to hygiene reasons, second-hand underwear cannot be accepted or sold by charities, leading to a significant shortage of brand-new underwear for those who need it most.

About Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist
Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist is on a mission to ensure that every woman has access to new, clean underwear. This is a basic necessity that impacts a woman’s dignity, health, and overall well-being. In situations of poverty, displacement, or crisis, underwear is often the last thing considered and the first thing overlooked. This charity is working hard to change that.

Their Impact
Every pair of underwear provided helps restore dignity, offers comfort, and promotes better health for women in need. By raising awareness and encouraging more people to support this cause, Let’s Get Our Knickers in a Twist aims to make a real difference in the lives of women who need it most. Together, let's help ensure that no woman is without this basic necessity!

Walk On Charity Fashion Show

At Love Calixta, we have always been passionate about making a positive impact on the world around us. This year, we were thrilled to be involved in the Walk On Charity Fashion Show, a student-run event based at Durham University. Walk On is dedicated to promoting sustainability, diversity, and creativity, values that resonate deeply with our own mission.

In support of this incredible event, we provided exclusive discount code cards for the goodie bags given to attendees. This partnership not only highlighted our commitment to sustainable fashion but also helped raise awareness and funds for important causes.

Walk On has an impressive history of collaboration with esteemed partners such as Red Bull, Sweaty Betty, Deliciously Ella, KBE Drink, EX1, Krispy Kreme, Kurt Geiger, The Cirkel, and many more. Last year, the event successfully raised over £46,000 for FareShare North East. This year, we were proud to support their efforts to make an even greater impact for their chosen charity, Fibromyalgia Action UK.

The event reached a diverse audience of over 1000 guests, including students, designers, and partners, providing an excellent platform for promoting our brand.

St. Chad’s College Charity Fashion Show

We were equally excited to support the St. Chad’s College Charity Fashion Show at Durham University, where our Betty Dress was showcased in alignment with this year's theme, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream".

St. Chad’s College Fashion Show is a prestigious event with a long-standing tradition of fundraising for local charities. This year, the chosen beneficiary was Action Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting the local migrant community. We were honoured to contribute to this cause by lending our Betty Dress for the runway, where it was beautifully modelled and captured in professional photographs for promotional purposes on Instagram @scccfs2024.

This collaboration not only helped raise funds for a worthy cause but also provided an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our designs to a broader audience. The event promised a night of fashion, fun, and fundraising, featuring handmade outfits from regional designers, live commentary, comedy, dancing, themed drinks, and live music.

Thank you for supporting Love Calixta and our efforts to create a better, more sustainable world. Your continued support enabled us to participate in meaningful initiatives like these and make a positive impact on our community.
